Malaysian Book of Records Attempt ‘The Largest Blogging Competition in Malaysia’ or ‘The Most Amount of Content Generated Online from an Event’
We, the organisers of Indie Youth Festival 2009 would like to invite all bloggers from all blog categories in Malaysia to break the Malaysian Book of Records. This festival will happen from 14 – 18 October 2009 in 1Utama, Kuala Lumpur .
Independent Youth Festival
During the 5 day Indie Youth Festival, there will be numerous activities from a human beatbox competition to the GO.esc // DreamHack electronic sports tournament, film screenings, casual gameplay, music, visual arts, techno-preneurship talks and also the Malaysian Book of Records attempt of “The largest blogging competition in Malaysia”. There is no registration fee charged, so participation is free!
Registration
To participate, please go log on to http://www.indieyouthfest.com. Registrations close at 3pm on Saturday, 17 October 2009. The competition will begin on 14 October 2009 and will run until 17 October 2009. All reviews MUST be posted up online before 5pm on the 17th of October 2009. For ease and convenience,
Goodie Bags
Participating bloggers will receive an Indie Youth Fest BLOGGER BADGE and goodie bag. All reviews MUST be posted up on your blogs with mention of indieyouthfest.com at 1utama by Saturday 5.00pm.
Prize
The winner walks home with a Canon EOS1000D DSLR. We will also endeavour to send the winner to accompany the video gamers to DreamHack, Sweden if more funding is raised for the flight tickets to Sweden. Consolation prizes are Canon A1100 Sureshot compact cameras.
Workshop
There will be 2 workshops conducted by Kim Ong, Canon ambassador blogger at 1.30pm on 18 October 2009 about the “Blogging Responsibly with Canon Camera”. and by Niki Cheong self-confessed Twitter addict and also Star R.A.G.E. journalist with own column, Bangsar Boy at 12.30pm on the 18th of October 2009.
